Scientific and technical activity:
Creation and maintenance of complex information systems for various purposes

Based on the greater design experience, ICIE applies a proven methodology for creating and maintaining complex information systems for various purposes, which includes:
- information survey of the automation object;
- formalization and modeling of processes and procedures;
- analysis and synthesis of the architecture of complex systems;
- development of operation algorithms, data structures and interaction interfaces;
- automated development of design solutions, including software and documentation;
- carrying out, if necessary, special checks and special studies;
- commissioning and author's support;
- determination of directions for further improvement of complex information systems.

Applied design principles:
- decomposition of the system and tasks to be solved into subsystems and subtasks;
- hierarchical ordering of component parts of tasks;
- abstraction from non-essential aspects of the system;
- formalization of tasks and processes based on UML diagrams;
—consistency of design components;
- structuring data and interfaces;
- complex application of modeling methodologies IDEF0, IDEF3, software development MSF, RUP, Agile, structural analysis and design SADT, SSADM, project life cycle management;
- application of CASE and RAD technologies and development tools.

Scientific and technical activity:
Development of methods and tools for process monitoring

The development and research of methods and tools for monitoring the processes of functioning of information systems is based on the use of technology tested in ICIE since 2006, which includes:
—determination of requirements for data control and operation algorithms;
—analysis of the processes of controlled systems to be monitored;
- architecture synthesis;
—an estimation of efficiency and perfection of methods and means of monitoring;
—application of neural network, behavioral and heuristic methods of analysis.
The tools for monitoring the processes of functioning of information systems developed in InterECM perform the following operations:

—obtaining data from monitoring objects;
- normalization, statistical and analytical data processing;
- storage and retrospective analysis of data generations;
- generation of alerts, analytical reports and predetermined impacts on the controls and protection of controlled systems. Depending on the customer's requirements, multi-agent and agentless monitoring technologies, various databases (MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, Cassandra, MariaDB, IBM Db2, Sphinx, Solr) are used.
The Center has developed several major projects on monitoring systems for complex territorially distributed systems.

Scientific and technical activity:
Development of neural network technologies for artificial intelligence systems

The Center for Neural Network Technologies of ICIE conducts research on methods for designing systems with artificial intelligence based on the approaches of Alexander Ivanovich Galushkin, Doctor of Technical Sciences, developed since 1974.
The Center actively uses solutions based on associative neural networks (for example, SMAS neural networks) and their modifications. The Center actively uses technologies for automated preparation and processing of arrays of heterogeneous data based on a container software platform.

To control and use containers, the platform includes an API program interface that implements basic functions: start, stop, get container execution statuses, as well as clone and work with information about containers. Neural network models used as part of containers to solve a specific problem are program code and can, if necessary, be changed during the development of artificial intelligence systems.
The rapid development and implementation of artificial intelligence methods in all areas of science and technology determines and determines the need for continuous improvement and building up of intellectual and technological potential for the Center for Neural Network Technologies of ICIE.

Scientific and technical activity:
Creation of information technologies and systems for semantic analysis and search for unstructured text information

The development of information technologies and systems for semantic analysis and search for unstructured textual information is based on the scientific and technical background of the theory of semantic information processing, developed in ICIE since 2007.
The developed technology of semantic analysis and search for unstructured textual information makes it possible to automate the functions of semantic processing of text information files. This allows computer systems to search for answers to user questions, search for documents similar in meaning to the document specified by the user, identify objects, subjects, their relationships and actions, identify meaningful and reliable information; automatically mark the emotional coloring of texts.

Information technology components:
—AskNet Search - a metasearch engine for finding answers to user questions in Russian and (or) English;
— Asknet LP - linguistic word processor;
—Asknet Linguist is a linguist's workplace for correcting dictionaries and rules of linguistic analysis.
Completeness and accuracy of syntactic-semantic analysis of sentences in Russian and English languages provides the possibility of automatic semantic processing of large arrays of unstructured texts on computers of mass application.

Scientific and technical activities:
Testing and certification testing of telecommunications equipment and information security tools according to information security requirements

ICIE is accredited as a testing laboratory:

— and has all the necessary termless certificates in the Information Security Certification Systems for information security requirements.

The Testing Laboratory has been operating since 2005. The basic unit that directly performs the functions of the Testing Laboratory includes a doctor of technical sciences and two candidates of technical sciences.

The testing laboratory is equipped with modern computer facilities and tools for carrying out various types of tests.

During the work more than 150 tests were carried out.

The testing laboratory conducts certification tests and case studies of information security tools, hardware and software products for general and special purposes (firewalls, intrusion detection systems, telecommunications equipment, etc.), information systems, including those in a secure design.

The main types of tests are: engineering analysis of hardware and firmware, software research, including software built into FPGAs, PC BIOS and programmable microcontrollers, for compliance with the requirements of regulatory documents (terms of reference), including the absence of undeclared capabilities and vulnerabilities, on the correctness of the implementation of target functions, the correctness of the embedding of cryptographic tools, the assessment of the non-impact on information security tools, etc.

ICIE is a specialized organization for the research of means of cryptographic protection of information.
